How to Download Facebook Videos

This guide shows you how to save any public Facebook video in a few simple steps using EasyFDown.

How to Copy a Facebook Video Link

On a computer, open the video and copy the address from your browser's address bar. In the Facebook app, tap the three-dot menu on the video post and choose Copy link, or open the share sheet and select the copy option. The link usually looks like facebook.com/watch/?v=..., facebook.com/reel/... or fb.watch/....

How to Download on Desktop

Open easyfdown.com in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, paste the copied link into the input box and press Download. Within a few seconds you will see the available formats. Click the download button next to the format you want and the MP4 file saves to your browser's downloads folder.

How to Download on Android

Copy the link in the Facebook app, switch to Chrome and visit easyfdown.com. Paste the link, press Download and pick your format. The file appears in your Downloads folder and in the notification panel when it finishes.

How to Download on iPhone

Copy the video link from the Facebook app, open Safari and go to easyfdown.com. Paste the link, start the download and choose your format. The MP4 is saved to the Downloads folder in the Files app, and on recent iOS versions you can save it to Photos from there.

How to Download Facebook Reels

Reels work exactly like regular videos. Copy the Reel link and paste it into the homepage. See our dedicated Facebook Reels guide for details.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Make sure the video is public, since private and friends-only videos cannot be fetched
  • Copy the complete link, without extra text or spaces around it
  • If no format appears, the video may have been deleted or restricted
  • Try again after a minute if you have submitted several links quickly

Where Downloads Are Saved

On desktop, check the Downloads folder of your operating system. On Android, look in Downloads or your file manager. On iPhone and iPad, open the Files app and browse to Downloads.

Ready to try it? Head back to the Facebook video downloader and paste your link.
